Join Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) — a leading physical therapy organization supporting 200+ outpatient clinics across the U.S. — as a remote Medical Collector. This full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday) is ideal for someone who enjoys working in revenue cycle/medical billing and can manage payor follow-up and collections with precision while working from home. PRN is therapist-focused and growth-minded, offering a chance to contribute to a nationally recognized clinical network.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage primary and secondary claims and drive timely resolution.
- Follow up with payors (insurance companies) to secure payment and resolve outstanding issues.
- Respond to billing inquiries from patients, insurance carriers and internal teams promptly and professionally.
- Work with clinic staff to identify discrepancies and resolve balance issues.
- Investigate and resolve denials, prepare and submit appeals when required.
- Use efficient resources and systems to collect open claims and ensure A/R goals are met.
- Research and action assigned correspondence related to accounts and claims.
- Clear follow-up queues and ensure daily accomplishments contribute to company A/R performance targets.
Required / Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Preferred: 2 years of prior medical receivable collections experience.
- Familiarity with medical claims processing, insurance systems, and EOBs (Explanation of Benefits).
- Working knowledge of state and federal billing/collection rules and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
