You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations for Thrive (Top Nutrition Coaching) and supporting accounting functions across the Receptive family of companies. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional experienced in medical billing, insurance claims, and bookkeeping who wants to contribute to a mission-driven healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise financial records, posting and analyzing entries in accounting systems.
  • Process accounts payable invoices, payroll, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile daily transactions, including revenue, cash receipts, payroll entries, and expenses.
  • Manage medical insurance receivables, including billing, rejection handling, denial resolution, collections, documentation, and reporting using ClaimMD or similar systems.
  • Process remittances, scanning and documenting submissions, claims denials, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Support the finance team with reporting and ad hoc projects.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • 2+ years of experience in medical insurance claims management within clinical or specialty practices.
  • Proven bookkeeping experience, handling accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
  • Solid knowledge of State and Federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and advanced Google Sheets / Excel.
  • Strong understanding of the medical claims cycle, including billing, denial management, and collections.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Professional, ethical, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with third-party claim inquiry tools and other medical billing platforms.
  • Experience in telehealth, behavioral health, or clinical settings.
  • Process improvement experience to streamline financial workflows.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across operations and finance teams.

  • Full-time role with overlap required with US PST hours.
  • Fully remote position; work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Compensation: $45K–$65K USD depending on location.
