Description:
BrightSpan Health is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join their team, either in a hybrid or fully remote capacity. The role is responsible for managing the complete billing cycle for patient services, ensuring accurate claim submission, timely payment posting, and adherence to payer requirements. This position is crucial for maintaining the organization’s financial health by minimizing claim denials and optimizing revenue collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.
- Review patient accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to billing.
- Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals for timely resolution.
- Post payments and reconcile accounts within the billing system.
- Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams regarding billing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience and proficiency with Central Reach software.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle.
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and electronic claim submission.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
