Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Medical Biller for our Central Billing team. You will manage insurance claim submission, follow-up on unpaid and denied claims, prepare appeals, and maintain accurate documentation to support timely reimbursement. The role requires clear communication with payers and clinical teams and a consistent focus on resolving billing issues.

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities:
• Submit and follow up on claims for Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid payers via portals and phone.
• Research documentation requests and provide timely responses to payers.
• Prepare, file and manage appeals for denied claims until resolution.
• Run AR reports monthly and take ownership of claims older than 60 days.
• Update and verify patient demographic and insurance information in the practice management system.
• Log clear, auditable notes for each account worked and adhere to HIPAA rules.
• Identify trends or recurring reimbursement issues and escalate to management.
• Meet productivity and quality metrics set by leadership.
• Perform additional billing-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or GED required; additional billing/medical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in outpatient medical billing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.
• Proficiency with billing portals, practice management systems and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual (English/Chinese) is desirable but not required.

• Standard business hours; actual schedule to be confirmed during hiring (typical outpatient billing schedules apply).
