Teladoc Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support its growing virtual care services across the United States. This remote position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative clinical team committed to delivering high-quality healthcare experiences through innovative telehealth solutions.
The successful candidate will assist with both administrative and clinical responsibilities, helping ensure efficient virtual care delivery for members. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review patient intake records for completeness and accuracy.
• Transfer patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Schedule virtual appointments and assess patient video readiness.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Maintain health information in compliance with corporate policies and federal regulations.
• Obtain and document comprehensive patient medical histories, including medications.
• Record biometric screening information.
• Identify preventive healthcare measures for patients.
• Prepare EHR charts prior to patient visits.
• Assist nursing staff with the preparation of patient care plans.
• Perform additional administrative and clinical duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school diploma required; 2+ years of college preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Customer service experience required.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification.
• LPN/LVN qualification or Nursing Student training is helpful.
• EHR experience preferred.
• Video conferencing experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft software.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing work environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
• Virtual patient care and telehealth workflows.
• Microsoft software, communication, and healthcare compliance.
