Description:
Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) is seeking a detail-oriented and independent Medical Account Receivable Specialist to join our rapidly expanding team. This fully remote role is ideal for individuals experienced in medical billing and revenue cycle management who thrive in a fast-paced environment. PRN operates over 200 outpatient physical therapy clinics across sixteen states, providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy, and other rehabilitative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage primary and secondary claims to ensure timely payments
- Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and internal departments
- Collaborate with clinics to identify and resolve outstanding account balances
- Resolve claim denials and submit appeals efficiently
- Utilize available resources to secure timely payment of open claims
- Research assigned correspondence and take necessary actions to resolve requests
- Ensure daily accomplishments align with company A/R goals
- Maintain follow-up queues and resolve accounts promptly
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years prior experience in medical receivable collections preferred
- Knowledge of medical claims processing and insurance systems
- Understanding of State and Federal insurance rules and regulations for billing and collections
- Ability to interpret claim denials and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing practices
