Description:

SEIU (Service Employees International Union) is seeking a Logistics Manager to support the Geography Team by coordinating administrative operations, logistics activities, financial processes, and key organizational programs. This remote position is available for candidates located on the East Coast of the United States.

The successful candidate will manage meeting and event logistics, coordinate travel arrangements, process invoices and contracts, track financial transactions, and provide operational support to internal teams and leadership. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and operational support to assigned Geography Teams, including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, and note-taking.

• Process invoices and contracts through financial systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

• Track contracts, vendor payments, and financial transactions with partners, vendors, and local organizations.

• Manage purchase requisitions and maintain department purchasing card records and reconciliations.

• Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, car rentals, and hotel accommodations for members and staff.

• Support planning and execution of department meetings, retreats, and organizational initiatives.

• Provide logistical support for key meetings, events, and onsite activities when required.

• Build effective working relationships with colleagues, leadership teams, and external contacts.

• Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

• Complete assigned projects while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Previous experience working with financial systems, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Experience coordinating offsite meetings, hotel arrangements, contracts, meeting rooms, and event requirements.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.

• Knowledge of labor unions and their operations is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.

• Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, leaders, members, and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently while making decisions in consultation with management when needed.

Strong knowledge of:

• Logistics coordination, travel arrangements, and event management.
