Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing Logistics Movement of Shipments for All Sectors (UAE, KSA & Oman)
- Receive details from procurement for shipment readiness.
- Obtain quotes from forwarders (minimum of 3 for comparison).
- Check food item registration on the UAE & KSA portals.
- Select forwarder based on rates, service level, and urgency.
- Coordinate with shipper and agent for loading.
- Track shipments regularly.
- Follow up with the shipper for physical copies of documents required for Dubai Municipality & Dubai Customs.
- Arrange authorization letters for the shipping line.
- Send clearance instructions to the broker.
- Coordinate with the finance department for customs duty arrangements.
- Apply for MOFAIC attested invoices for each shipment.
- Pre-notify the warehouse team before the arrival of the shipment.
- Apply for landed cost once the shipment is received at the warehouse.
- Cross-check the shipment.
- Raise claims with the insurance company and process claims if there are any damages.
- Register food products on the Dubai Municipality Portal (FITR).
- Register food labels on the Dubai Municipality Portal (FLAR).
- Issue food import permits for each import shipment before arrival (FIRS).
- Arrange for municipality physical inspection for each shipment after it is received at the warehouse.
- Follow up with the municipality for closing each shipment request.
- Visit the Dubai Municipality Food Department Office at Jebel Ali Port & Airport for any shipment release delays.
- Obtain Certificates of Origin (COO) from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
- Arrange export movement via land and air.
- Issue Certificates of Conformity.
- Register new food products on the KSA SFDA Portal (Saudi Food & Drug Authority).
- Obtain SABER permits for each shipment.
- Authorize brokers on the KSA customs portal.
- Declare customs duty to the accounts team for upcoming shipments.
- Declare insurance for all shipments on a monthly basis.
- Update shipment details on Epicor for each shipment ETA.
- Send weekly tracking of shipments to the procurement team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in logistics management software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
