Bluepeak is seeking a Lead Billing Specialist to support and oversee billing operations across both residential and commercial service lines. This role focuses heavily on managing accounts receivable processes, running daily financial transactions, ensuring data accuracy, and leading internal billing initiatives. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial transparency and supporting both internal team members and external clients.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of A/R and billing systems, a sharp eye for discrepancies, and strong leadership abilities to coach junior staff and improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and resolve complex billing issues and discrepancies with speed and accuracy
• Mentor junior billing and collections staff, offering hands-on guidance and training
• Execute and reconcile daily bank batches, ensuring precise transaction processing
• Maintain alignment between bank statements and financial records by investigating any inconsistencies
• Set up and manage automated outbound call campaigns using the auto-dialer to support collection activity
• Serve as the primary contact for commercial collection matters and deliver high-quality customer support
• Collaborate with high-value commercial clients to resolve invoice-related issues and maintain long-term relationships
• Interpret contract terms in Salesforce to resolve billing cases using Icoms/IAD systems
• Follow company collections procedures and negotiate within policy limits when discussing payment plans
• Communicate with internal departments to address client account problems affecting receivables
• Share process improvements, reporting tools, and industry knowledge to boost team efficiency
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by management

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 5+ years of professional experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections in a high-volume environment
• Prior experience in a leadership or senior support role in billing or financial operations is highly desirable
• Expertise in A/R workflows, collection strategies, and billing cycles
• Familiarity with financial tools like ICOMS, IAD, and Salesforce strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, reconciliation, and reporting
• Ability to spot errors, correct inaccuracies, and manage sensitive financial data confidentially
• Strong customer communication skills, both written and verbal
• Analytical thinker capable of addressing billing/system issues with a problem-solving mindset
• Must be able to work independently while also acting as a team mentor
• Willingness to support change and maintain a professional tone in all interactions

Physical and Work Requirements:
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
• Manual dexterity for handling paperwork and using office equipment
• Clear verbal communication and good hearing required for phone interaction
• Vision abilities to perform close work with documents and screens
