Description:
ECS – FJ Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Accountant – Manufacturing to support and strengthen the financial performance of its manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role plays a critical part in management accounting, manufacturing costing, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis while working closely with plant and business teams.

Job Summary:
The Lead Accountant – Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing management accounting functions, monitoring manufacturing costs, managing funds and cash flow, preparing budgets, and delivering accurate P&L reporting. The role supports strategic decision-making, cost optimization initiatives, and ensures strong internal controls across manufacturing finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Accounting & Costing:

  • Maintain, review, and analyze product costing, standard costing, and bill of materials accuracy
  • Track and evaluate material, labor, and overhead variances
  • Support pricing strategies through detailed cost and margin analysis
  • Monitor work-in-progress, finished goods, and inventory valuation

P&L & Management Accounting:

  • Prepare monthly profit and loss statements with plant-wise and product-wise insights
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets and previous periods
  • Identify key cost drivers and recommend corrective actions

Cash Flow & Fund Management:

  • Manage daily and monthly cash flow forecasting
  • Monitor working capital, including inventory levels, receivables, and payables
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and effective utilization of funds

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and operations teams
  • Track budget versus actual performance and explain manufacturing cost variances

Financial Analysis & MIS:

  • Prepare MIS reports covering production costs, yield, scrap levels, and efficiency
  • Analyze plant performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization
  • Provide actionable financial insights to plant leadership and senior management

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Implement and monitor internal controls across inventory, production, and finance functions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal company policies
  • Support internal, statutory, and cost audits

Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

  • Supervise accounting staff and review manufacturing-related accounting entries
  • Enhance ERP processes related to inventory, costing, and production
  • Support automation initiatives and system-driven financial controls
