Description:
Lavo Media City is currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to oversee and lead all aspects of kitchen operations. This position is ideal for a culinary professional with strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen management experience, and a passion for maintaining exceptional food quality and operational standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, controlling food costs, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and driving overall kitchen efficiency. Candidates must have prior Dubai or UAE kitchen management experience and be available for immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all daily kitchen operations
• Lead, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Develop, update, and maintain recipes, menus, and food costing systems
• Monitor and control food costs, wastage, and inventory levels
• Manage purchasing activities, stock ordering, and supplier coordination
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety and hygiene regulations
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and oversee equipment maintenance
• Create staff schedules and optimize kitchen productivity
• Manage kitchen budgets and improve operational efficiency
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and food quality
• Collaborate with management to enhance kitchen performance and profitability
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership position
• UAE/Dubai kitchen management experience is mandatory
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and HACCP standards
• Experience managing food costs, inventory control, and kitchen teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Immediate availability to join preferred

• Strong knowledge of:
• Kitchen operations management and food production processes
• HACCP standards, food safety regulations, and hygiene compliance
