Description:
A growing construction organization in Dubai is currently looking to hire a Junior Quantity Surveyor with experience in piling and foundation projects. This role is ideal for candidates who have gained hands-on experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, and project cost management within the UAE or GCC construction sector.
The selected candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support cost planning, tender preparation, and project budget monitoring. The position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop professional expertise in quantity surveying while contributing to complex foundation and piling projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documentation for construction projects
• Conducting quantity take-offs and assisting with detailed cost analysis for project planning
• Reviewing and evaluating subcontractor quotations to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy
• Managing interim payment applications and assisting with variation claims during project execution
• Monitoring project expenditures and supporting cost control measures to maintain budgets
• Coordinating with internal project teams, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project operations
Requirements for the role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of UAE or GCC experience specifically in piling and foundation works
• Good understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and budgeting processes
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and reporting
• Ability to work collaboratively within project teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders
