Description:
KACE Company is hiring a Junior Financial Analyst to support the DOJ Asset Forfeiture Administrative Support Services (AFASS) Program across government facilities nationwide. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside purpose-driven professionals contributing to national safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Employment is contingent upon contract award and may require flexibility in working hours based on mission needs.
The Junior Financial Analyst will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and regulatory compliance by performing quality control and reconciliation of financial and compliance databases. This position directly supports audit readiness, financial oversight, and efficient program operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Perform quality control reviews and reconciliation of financial and compliance-related databases
• Review accounting practices for compliance with federal laws, regulations, GAGAS standards, and applicable OMB circulars
• Analyze annual financial statements to ensure legal, regulatory, and program alignment
• Identify improper or non-compliant expenditures and recommend corrective actions
• Evaluate audit, certification, and logistical processes to improve operational efficiency
• Assist in drafting budget requests for office and program operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support financial and compliance objectives
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with at least four years of related experience
• General understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial systems or databases
• Strong attention to detail with high data accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and recommend actions
Clearance & Security Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Subject to a Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI)
• Favorable credit check for cleared positions
• Residency requirement: 3 consecutive years within the last 5 years
• Successful completion of background investigation and drug screening
