Description:
Deraah, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading perfume and cosmetics retail groups with approximately 900 branches, is looking for a talented Junior Data Engineer to join its Data Platform team in Riyadh. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals who are eager to build expertise in modern data engineering technologies and analytics.
The selected candidate will contribute throughout the entire data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, integration, and business intelligence. Immediate joiners are highly preferred, while candidates currently residing in Saudi Arabia will receive priority consideration. Iqama transfer is available for suitable applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Support data warehousing, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and reliable reporting.
• Assist in building scalable data solutions using modern data engineering tools.
• Participate in improving data platform performance and business intelligence processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong SQL skills and basic knowledge of Python.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with Git and data quality best practices.
• Knowledge of dbt, Airflow, ClickHouse, Kafka, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or Odoo is an advantage.
• DP-600 or DP-700 certifications are considered a plus.
• Native Arabic speaker.
• Candidates currently residing in Saudi Arabia are preferred.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a maximum two-week notice period.
• Strong knowledge of:
• SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT processes
• Data warehousing and data quality practices
