Description:
A growing organization in Umm Al Quwain is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to become part of its Finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with UAE accounting experience who are eager to contribute to daily financial operations while maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies.
The successful candidate will assist with bookkeeping, financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting functions. Applicants who are available to join immediately and can work in Umm Al Quwain will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounting documents are properly organized.
• Record daily financial transactions and post journal entries accurately.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain petty cash records and monitor employee expense reports.
• Support VAT documentation and assist with VAT return preparation.
• Update the General Ledger and contribute to financial reporting tasks.
• Assist during internal and external audits by maintaining required documentation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• 2–5+ years of UAE accounting experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations will be an advantage.
• Experience using accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Candidates currently residing in Umm Al Quwain or willing to relocate or commute will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Microsoft Excel and financial record management.
• Financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting procedures.
