Overview:
Glass World is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Junior Accountant to join its growing finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys numbers, is keen to learn, and wants hands-on exposure to everyday accounting tasks within a dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining general ledgers and journals to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process and verify financial transactions and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Support monthly and annual financial reporting by helping prepare routine reports and summaries.
- Help ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal financial policies.
- Prepare and maintain organised accounting files and documentation for audits and reviews.
- Support audit activities by providing required schedules and information to senior accountants.
- Work closely with senior accounting staff to streamline processes and improve financial workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 1–2 years’ experience in accounting or finance; fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome.
- Familiarity with accounting software and solid MS Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of UAE accounting standards is an advantage.
