Description:
Korax Energy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to become part of its finance team in Dubai. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for professionals who are looking to build their accounting career within a dynamic and growing energy company.
The selected candidate will support daily financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, assist with reporting activities, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal applicant should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and maintain invoices, credit notes, and financial transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate payment discrepancies.
• Process supplier payments and maintain accounts payable records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Generate financial reports to support management decisions.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and internal company policies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
• 1+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
