Description:
A growing organization in the UAE is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on accounting experience who are eager to contribute to daily financial operations while developing their careers in a supportive and collaborative workplace.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting, ensuring VAT compliance, and supporting audit activities. Candidates with a solid understanding of UAE accounting practices and strong technical skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain general ledger records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
• Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Support VAT return preparation and ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Process expense claims, verify invoices, and manage vendor payments efficiently.
• Assist senior management and external auditors by providing financial documentation and supporting schedules.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial spreadsheet management.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS accounting standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of:
• General ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• VAT regulations, IFRS, and financial reporting.
• QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
