Role Summary:
Elmech Energy is recruiting a Jr. Logistics Officer to support our Dubai operations. This is an entry-level, hands-on role for candidates with recent GCC shipping and logistics exposure. You’ll assist the logistics team with transactional and operational tasks, keep stakeholders informed, and help ensure shipments move on time and in compliance with procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day logistics activities including import/export processing, shipment booking, documentation preparation, and coordination with carriers and freight forwarders.
▪ Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and manage shipping documents (BLs, invoices, packing lists, customs paperwork), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
▪ Coordination & Communication: Keep timely communication with vendors, customs brokers, operations teams and clients to ensure smooth handoffs and on-time delivery.
▪ Tracking & Follow-up: Monitor shipment status, flag exceptions, escalate delays, and support resolution to minimize operational disruption.
▪ Recordkeeping: Maintain organised records of transactions, update logistics systems, and assist in filing and archive tasks.
▪ Team Assistance: Support the logistics team with ad-hoc tasks, assist in commercial admin when needed, and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements & Preferences:
▪ Strictly for candidates with 1–2 years of GCC shipping & logistics experience — applicants with 3+ years should not apply.
▪ Practical understanding of import/export workflows and typical shipping documentation.
▪ Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
▪ Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
▪ Operational or commercial mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute immediately.
▪ Immediate availability is preferred.
