WE ARE HIRING — IT SUPPORT ENGINEER
Royal Gas is seeking a technically strong and hands-on IT Support Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT operations and support, experience with ERP and enterprise systems, and an ability to manage both day-to-day support and longer-term infrastructure projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT operations/support experience; at least 2 years of UAE experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking (LAN/WAN), and database administration.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and enterprise software support.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and clear documentation capability.
- Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support (Technical Support/Desktop Support/IT Help Desk) and act as a reliable escalation point for complex issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers and associated hardware, including email and SQL database servers.
- Build, configure, and manage servers and hosting for back-end solutions.
- Administer and support ERP software systems, ensuring smooth operation and integrations.
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues across LAN/WAN environments.
- Maintain system security through firewalls, antivirus, backups, and regular security checks; ensure data is stored securely and backed up regularly.
- Monitor and manage patch management and perform regular system updates.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and produce end-user assistance guides.
- Provide end-user support and drive long-term solutions to recurring technical problems.
- Coordinate with IT vendors for procurement, service support, and maintenance contracts.
- Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with IT infrastructure planning, upgrades, and deployment of new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulatory standards for IT operations.
- Provide support for mobile devices, cloud services, and remote users.
