Description:
Belvedere British School is currently hiring an IT Coordinator to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This is an immediate-start role, ideal for someone who is experienced, proactive, and capable of managing a wide range of IT responsibilities within an educational environment. The selected candidate will play an important role in maintaining the school’s digital operations and ensuring reliable technical support for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain school-wide IT systems, including all hardware, software, and network infrastructure
• Deliver timely technical support to teaching staff, administrative personnel, and students
• Manage setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of classroom technologies such as projectors, interactive screens, learning software, and digital tools
• Handle user account administration, access management, backups, and data security in compliance with ADEK guidelines and school policies
• Collaborate with external vendors for procurement, servicing, license renewals, and system upgrades
• Assist in introducing and implementing new school systems, digital learning platforms, and management software
• Monitor and enhance cybersecurity protocols across the institution
• Track and maintain all IT assets and inventories
• Provide support for examinations, including online platforms, printing needs, device setup, and connectivity
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar discipline
• 2–3 years of proven experience in IT support or system administration—experience in a school setting is preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows OS, cloud-based solutions, networking, and MIS systems
• Familiarity with educational platforms such as iSAMS, EMR, or similar tools is considered an advantage
Preferred Skills:
• Experience supporting digital learning systems like Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams
• Good understanding of online safety protocols and data protection standards in schools
• Ability to train staff and guide them in using new tools and technologies effectively
