We’re Hiring – Inventory Analyst (Remote)

Sysco is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support inventory management goals across assigned planners, suppliers, or categories. The role focuses on ensuring purchase order accuracy, minimizing spoilage and shrink, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve inventory management goals including Service Level, DSO, and Spoilage while maximizing operational efficiency
  • Review critical items and take necessary actions to maintain end customer service levels
  • Monitor daily out-of-stock reports, communicate with sales teams, and expedite orders when needed
  • Manage inbound purchase orders, confirming cost, quantity, dates, and handling overages, shortages, and damaged items
  • Maintain forecasting system parameters to address demand changes, customer events, business shifts, and seasonality
  • Utilize the Manhattan inventory planning tool DPR for performance tracking, scorecards, dashboards, and merchandising KPIs
  • Support returns to suppliers and product recalls as required
  • Ensure purchase order costing and date accuracy through confirmations and alerts
  • Monitor supplier and market conditions to identify purchasing opportunities
  • Provide basic demand planning support and feedback to Corporate Planner

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ year professional experience or relevant degree in lieu of experience
  • Experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution environments
  • Strong Excel skills and inventory management/purchasing experience in distributors with 10,000+ SKUs
