About the Role:
We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Intake Specialists to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to make a real impact by assisting callers who need access to health, human services, or community-based care coordination.
Schedule:
- Friday to Monday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30 hours per week)
- Initial training: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Must reside in Washington State
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide phone-based assistance, offering information and emotional support to callers.
- Connect individuals with appropriate community resources across the state.
- Maintain professionalism and empathy while managing sensitive situations.
- Work collaboratively with a team to ensure a seamless service experience.
- Complete administrative and reporting tasks as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or social services environment.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, confidential remote setting.
- Familiarity with local community resources is an advantage.
- Must have a smartphone with Multi-Factor Authentication capability.
- Reliable high-speed wired internet connection (no hotspots allowed).
- Dedicated and private workspace suitable for confidential calls.
Technology Requirements:
- Personal computer capable of completing a 15-minute online computer skills assessment.
- Ability to navigate multiple software and IT systems concurrently.
Working Conditions:
This role involves extended periods of sitting or standing, managing multiple communication platforms, and participating in emotionally challenging conversations involving mental health and crisis-related issues.
