Description:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dedicated Intake Specialist to join its Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) team for Unaccompanied Children (UC). This full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and efficiency in processing case referrals while maintaining high data accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the intake process for UC referrals through the UC portal system.
• Classify Post Release Services cases as Level 1 or Level 2 based on established program guidelines, which may include screening for domestic violence, sexual violence, or human trafficking.
• Collaborate with regional coordinators, supervisors, and case managers to determine case capacity prior to acceptance.
• Input detailed data from the UC Portal into IRC’s ETO database accurately and efficiently.
• Notify relevant team members about case acceptances and maintain proper documentation.
• Generate weekly capacity and performance reports to meet funder targets.
• Work with the Assistant Director to enhance the intake process and recommend improvements.
• Participate in the development and facilitation of training sessions related to intake and post-release service levels.
• Coordinate internal case transfers and support inter-agency collaboration.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program goals.

Requirements:
• Minimum of a High School Diploma; Bachelor’s in Social Work or a related discipline preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in human services, with preference for candidates experienced with refugee or immigrant populations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with digital data systems.
• Must pass background checks, including FBI fingerprinting and Child Abuse/Neglect screenings.

Working Environment:
• Fully remote position with potential for occasional evening or weekend work.
• Must have reliable internet access and be authorized to work in the U.S.
