Description:
CareStream Advisory Group is hiring an Intake Coordinator to support patient access and intake operations within our mental health services team. This role is client-facing and administrative, responsible for handling incoming communications, completing intake assessments, and ensuring accurate documentation so patients are matched to the appropriate care quickly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound communications (phone, email, voicemail, fax, and chat) and respond to patient inquiries promptly.
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify patient needs and schedule initial appointments.
- Collect, verify, and document patient insurance information and clinical history for accurate provider matching.
- Record all patient interactions and transactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with precision.
- Assist new patients with appointment logistics, referrals, and basic insurance questions while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a contact center and/or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with EHR systems is preferred.
- Clear understanding of insurance-related terminology and processes.
- Reliable, quiet workspace with high-speed internet for remote tasks (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
