Description:
Trace3, a transformative IT authority, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Innovation Researcher to join our remote team. As part of Trace3 Research, you will collaborate with industry partners, venture capitalists, start-ups, clients, and internal teams to analyze and provide insights into emerging technologies including cloud computing, data intelligence, security, applications, and operations. This role focuses on identifying macro technology trends, evaluating new solutions, and supporting Trace3’s mission to integrate, automate, and innovate for its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct secondary research to gather quantitative and qualitative data backed by multiple sources.
• Apply logical reasoning to validate data accuracy and identify meaningful insights.
• Collate and present research findings in reports, presentations, and other formats with minimal guidance.
• Contribute ideas to improve research quality and processes.
• Evaluate emerging trends, solutions, markets, and companies, particularly within the security domain.
• Conduct technical reviews with targeted companies and report findings.
• Participate in research collaborations and client briefings with venture capital firms.
• Assist sales teams in catalyzing innovation for customers and conduct educational sessions on emerging technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant IT experience.
• Strong secondary research and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Logical reasoning and ability to correlate data points (Ven diagrams, weighted averages, standard deviations, etc.).
• Ability to work effectively on a distributed technical team in a remote setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and agility.
• Moderate travel up to 20% may be required.
