Description:
Sama International School, located in Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusion / Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join its academic team. This role is ideal for a qualified educator passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized learning strategies, supporting student progress, and collaborating closely with teachers and leadership teams to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The role requires strong expertise in differentiation strategies, behavior management, and curriculum adaptation within internationally recognized education frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Apply differentiation and intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
• Collaborate with subject teachers and school leadership to ensure inclusive classroom practices.
• Monitor and document student progress in alignment with school and ADEK standards.
• Support behavior management and implement effective intervention strategies.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Maintain detailed reports and documentation in line with inspection frameworks.
• Contribute to academic planning and inclusive education initiatives.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Inclusion, or a related field.
• Valid teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEN or inclusion teaching.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Familiarity with American Curriculum (Common Core) and IB (MYP/CP) is an advantage.
• English IELTS score of 7.5 is required.
• Training in safeguarding, child protection, and behavior management is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and leadership teams.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills aligned with ADEK or inspection standards.
• Bilingual candidates (English and Arabic) will be given preference.
