Description:

The State of Colorado, Department of Revenue, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant (HR Specialist II) to support essential HR operations. This role is ideal for an administrative professional looking to expand their career in Human Resources while contributing to a public-sector organization focused on service, integrity, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will support personnel processes, maintain accurate employee records, coordinate HR activities, prepare reports, and provide administrative support to HR leadership and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Process HR actions, personnel documentation, and confidential employee records across HR information systems.

• Enter and maintain employee information, including new hires, salary updates, and personnel changes.

• Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and privacy of employee records and personal information.

• Coordinate HR leadership calendars, meetings, schedules, travel details, and team events.

• Compile HR data, reports, charts, presentations, and dashboards to support leadership decisions.

• Assist with process improvement initiatives and automation of HR workflows.

• Support administration of HR systems and maintain HR forms and documentation.

• Coordinate HR events, training sessions, new employee orientations, and meeting logistics.

• Provide responsive customer service and administrative support to HR teams, managers, employees, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, administrative, operational, or related support roles.

• Experience handling employee records, HR databases, HRIS platforms, or business systems.

• Strong ability to manage confidential documents and sensitive employee information.

• Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and administrative reporting tools.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to review data accurately and maintain effective administrative processes.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support internal teams and stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

• Must be a resident of the State of Colorado at the time of application.
