Description:
WISE Indian Private School, Umm Al Quwain, is seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join its team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably within a school or educational institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe learning and working environment, ensuring compliance with UAE health and safety regulations, conducting safety programs, and coordinating with relevant authorities. Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, visitors, and school facilities.
• Prepare and update risk assessments and emergency response plans.
• Conduct regular HSE awareness sessions and safety training for staff.
• Ensure safety signage and emergency arrangements are properly maintained throughout the school.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely corrective actions and compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct fire drills, emergency evacuation exercises, and safety awareness programs.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with Civil Defence, municipality, maintenance teams, and other relevant authorities when required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• NEBOSH qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in a school or educational institution.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Health & Safety regulations, fire safety requirements, and emergency procedures.
• Experience conducting fire drills, emergency evacuation drills, and safety awareness programs.
• Ability to maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, and compliance records.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, administrative staff, maintenance teams, and management.
• Immediate joiners or candidates available within a short notice period are preferred.
