Description:
Datum General Contracting is currently seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join its construction team in Abu Dhabi. The role is focused on ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across building and villa construction projects.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, monitoring site activities, and ensuring that all construction operations are carried out in accordance with UAE safety standards. This position requires a proactive professional who can effectively manage risk and promote a strong safety culture on site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies across construction sites
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and site audits
• Ensure strict compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness training to site workers
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Coordinate with engineers and site supervisors to maintain safe working conditions
Requirements:
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory
• 3 to 5 years of experience in construction projects, preferably buildings and villas
• Strong knowledge of excavation safety, electrical safety, working at height, and PTW systems
• Familiarity with UAE HSE regulations; OSHAD knowledge is an added advantage
• Strong communication, reporting, and documentation skills
• UAE construction experience is preferred
• Immediate availability to join will be an advantage
