Description:
Bayaty Architects is currently looking to hire an experienced and qualified HSE Officer to join its project site team in the Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is ideal for a safety professional with strong experience in construction and site safety management within the UAE.
The company is seeking a dedicated candidate who can effectively oversee health, safety, and environmental procedures while ensuring full compliance with UAE safety standards and regulations. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment, conducting safety inspections, and supporting overall project compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across project sites
• Ensure compliance with UAE safety laws, regulations, and company safety policies
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments at the worksite
• Implement effective safety procedures and preventive measures to reduce workplace risks
• Organize and conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses while preparing detailed reports and corrective action plans
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, reports, and compliance records
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and management regarding safety matters
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and site safety practices
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to occupational health and safety standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required
• Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience in HSE-related roles
• At least 5 years of UAE experience in construction, engineering, or site safety operations
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, standards, and compliance procedures
• Proven experience in implementing safety systems and conducting safety training programs
• Ability to identify workplace hazards and implement effective corrective actions
• Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively within site teams
• Experience in maintaining compliance with safety audits and regulatory requirements
