We’re Hiring: HSE Engineer
We are seeking a seasoned HSE professional with strong experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical environments to support project safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across EPC activities in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will lead HSE efforts on-site, develop robust safety systems, and drive a proactive safety culture.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or an HSE-related discipline from a recognized institution.
Certifications (Mandatory)
- NEBOSH IGC (or equivalent).
- Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
- Certificate in Incident Investigation Techniques.
Preferred
- Additional professional HSE certifications and specialised training.
Experience
- At least 10 years’ experience in HSE roles covering Construction, Fabrication, Installation, and Commissioning phases.
- Demonstrated background working on Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of HSE requirements and best practices for EPC projects.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise HSE teams including officers and hygiene personnel.
- Experience developing HSE, welfare, and emergency response plans.
- Skilled in implementing Safe Systems of Work such as Permit to Work (PTW), Work Method Statements (WMS), and Risk Assessments.
- Hands-on knowledge of H2S control measures and related precautions.
- Strong experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Working Scope & Conditions
- Site-based role at project locations in Abu Dhabi.
- Frequent site walks and inspections; may involve challenging or noisy environments.
- Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend audits or emergency response duties.
