Description:
DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a HR Specialist – Technology to join our team remotely. This role acts as a subject matter expert for HR processes, system updates, and employee lifecycle initiatives within our Technology organization. The ideal candidate will support HR analytics, job descriptions, employee relations, and facilitate smooth HR operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage HR processes and system tasks, including offer preparation, payroll oversight, and unemployment claims.
  • Serve as an expert in HRIS (Workday) and participate in system enhancements, training, and onboarding.
  • Maintain and update HR documents, templates, and SOPs, ensuring proper communication across teams.
  • Guide and train business partners on HR policies, ensuring compliance and effective problem resolution.
  • Analyze HR data dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights, trends, and recommendations.
  • Support the development, update, and optimization of job descriptions with a focus on market competitiveness and searchability.
  • Act as first-line support for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Assist HRM in engagement actions, performance management, calibrations, and talent review processes.
  • Provide coaching, performance issue resolution, and counseling to managers and employees while keeping HRM informed.

Qualifications

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Maintain confidentiality handling sensitive employee and company information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive resolutions.
  • Ability to balance business needs with empathy and active listening.
  • Experience with Human Capital Management systems is a plus.
