Description:
China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) is currently seeking a skilled and experienced HR Officer to join its expanding operations in Dubai South, UAE. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who can effectively support cross-border HR functions while maintaining alignment between the company’s Chinese headquarters and its UAE workforce.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing HR operations, ensuring compliance, and facilitating seamless communication between international and local teams.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in HR operations
- Fluency in Chinese – Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory
- Applicants must be of non-Chinese nationality
- Strong understanding of Chinese HR systems, structures, and corporate practices
- Preferred nationalities include Malaysian, Singaporean, or Vietnamese candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management
- Coordinate closely with the Chinese head office regarding HR policies, reporting, and system implementation
- Handle employee relations matters, visa processing, and provide payroll coordination support
- Ensure HR policies are implemented in compliance with UAE labor law while adhering to Chinese corporate standards
- Provide HR support to Chinese expatriate employees as well as local management teams
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive mindset, strong cultural awareness, and the ability to operate effectively within both Chinese corporate environments and UAE workplace regulations. Mandarin proficiency combined with solid HR expertise will be essential for success in this role.
