A growing construction contractor operating across the United Arab Emirates is currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage its Human Resources function. This role is ideal for a senior HR professional with solid experience in the UAE construction sector who can effectively manage HR operations while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and organizational policies.
The HR Manager will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to strengthen HR strategies, support workforce planning, and manage recruitment activities across multiple projects. This role requires a proactive professional who can balance operational HR responsibilities with strategic initiatives that contribute to the organization’s continued expansion.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for building effective HR processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring positive employee relations throughout the organization. The position involves working with both office-based employees and site-based personnel, making strong communication and stakeholder management skills essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the overall HR function while providing strategic and operational HR support to senior management.
- Manage recruitment activities for both white-collar roles and site-based personnel across multiple construction projects.
- Ensure all HR operations comply with UAE Labour Law, immigration procedures, and employment regulations.
- Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with company objectives.
- Support workforce planning and manpower forecasting to ensure adequate staffing for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Manage performance management systems and contribute to employee development initiatives.
- Oversee HR administration processes such as employment contracts, personnel records, leave management, and employee benefits coordination.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including exposure to the UAE construction industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in an HR management or leadership role.
- Proven experience managing HR operations within a construction or project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, visa procedures, and immigration processes.
- Experience supporting large or multi-project workforces within the construction sector.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
