We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team and play a key role in supporting a positive, productive, and compliant workplace. This position serves as a vital resource across multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. The role will report into the HR Manager and join a collaborative and spirited team of 13 Human Resources employees.
Essential Functions
- Conduct onboarding/orientation with new hires.
- Schedule new hire orientation meetings and prepare new hire materials.
- Collect and process new hire paperwork, including licensure, credentialing documents etc.
- Set up new hires within ADP, the HRIS system.
- Collaborate with hiring managers, internal operational functions, and new hires to ensure successful onboarding.
- Assist with the development, communication, training and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
- Complete audits of personnel files.
- Manage electronic personnel files, maintaining consistent structure and compliance standards as hires, terminations, and internal changes deemed necessary.
- Answer frequently asked questions from employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Other duties as necessary.

Technology Skills
- Working knowledge of ADP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and online tools/platforms.
Technical Experience
- Understanding labor laws to include local and federal mandates regarding rate calculations, statutory leave allowances, etc. (multistate experience).
- Previous experience managing/tracking FMLA, PTO, Sick Time, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field preferred
- Minimum experience of 1 year in a human resource related role or solid internship experience.
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR, SHRM, or other HR related certifications.
- 2 plus years of experience working in a generalist role.
- Previous experience working in a mid-size healthcare or hospice company is preferred.
