Description:
Ryder is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner III to work remotely in supporting a division, vertical, region, or function. This role serves as a trusted advisor, delivering HR programs and solutions to align with both short-term and long-term business goals. The HR Business Partner will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, HR Centers of Excellence (COE), Employee Services, Labor Relations, and other HR Business Partners to drive business success.
Essential Functions:
- Consult with internal customers to anticipate, assess, and provide innovative HR solutions aligned with business priorities
- Implement and administer HR programs and procedures, including merit, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement
- Provide guidance on moderately complex HR processes while integrating COE resources as needed
- Coach and support leaders to drive performance and talent development
- Assist with key talent initiatives such as performance calibrations, talent review, succession planning, leadership development, and talent assessment
- Analyze ROI on talent strategies, use reports and dashboards for predictive analytics, and recommend improvements
- Strengthen relationships, improve morale, and enhance productivity and retention within assigned customer groups
- Serve as a change agent with a working knowledge of change management principles
- Focus on high-potential talent development to ensure strong bench strength
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Provide administrative support for management bench strength programs
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the organization
- Perform other duties as required
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong relationship-building, consulting, and conflict management skills
- Ability to anticipate client needs and provide practical recommendations
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Capability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Experience in project management and supporting clients preferred
- Familiarity with Workday and federal/state employment laws (beginner level)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience covering organizational development, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development, and compensation
- Workday experience preferred (beginner)
- Basic understanding of federal and state employment laws
