We are currently looking for a polished, well-organized, and guest-oriented Host/Hostess to join the All-Day Dining and Asian Restaurant team at Palace Downtown Hotel. This is an urgent full-time position suited for someone who excels not only in greeting guests and handling reservations but also in carrying out administrative support, clear communication, and efficient coordination with various departments.
About the Role:
The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping the guest’s first impression, ensuring that they feel welcomed and well attended to. Beyond hosting duties, this role involves managing guest communication, preparing detailed booking details, coordinating with service and kitchen teams, and maintaining an organized front desk area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Warmly welcome and engage guests, ensuring a pleasant and memorable arrival experience.
• Oversee reservations, seating charts, and guest profiles using the SevenRooms system.
• Respond professionally to emails regarding bookings, confirmations, and guest requests.
• Share accurate booking instructions with service and culinary teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate menu items confidently and assist guests with food choices, including dietary needs.
• Keep the host stand and related paperwork, reports, and logs neatly organized.
• Work closely with service teams and management to maintain seamless restaurant operations.
• Manage peak hours efficiently, showcasing strong multitasking abilities.
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Host/Hostess in a hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Familiarity with SevenRooms or comparable reservation software is preferred.
• Strong administrative, reporting, and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of menu basics to guide guests effectively.
• Knowledge of multiple languages such as Arabic, Russian, or Chinese is an advantage.
• Professional appearance with exceptional hospitality etiquette.
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
