Crossover is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Talent Operations to design, implement, and refine systems that reliably deliver high-quality talent across the organization. This fully remote role focuses on creating operational frameworks that scale efficiently, produce measurable outcomes, and maintain integrity under complex scenarios. You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of talent delivery systems, leveraging AI tools to enhance processes, validate concepts, and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:


• Architect and continuously improve operational systems to transform unclear requirements into consistent, high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify constraints, make trade-offs explicit, and define success metrics
• Apply AI tools daily to create, analyze, validate, and iterate system elements while maintaining human oversight for quality
• Take full ownership of initiatives from concept to delivery, measurement, and refinement
• Detect patterns, diagnose root causes, and strengthen the system using performance data and field feedback

Requirements:


• 5+ years of professional experience in business operations, talent operations, people operations, program management, or similar systems-intensive roles
• Demonstrated experience hiring for your own team or function, with direct accountability for hiring metrics (time-to-fill, candidate quality, retention)
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying operational systems from start to finish
• Proficiency in creating organizational and operational artifacts such as role specifications, org structures, career ladders, RACIs, process workflows, and decision frameworks
• Strong written communication skills, including SOPs, process documentation, or post-mortem analyses actively used by others
• Functional knowledge of U.S. hiring practices and employment regulations
• Ability to engage effectively with senior leaders without formal authority
• Active daily use of AI in operational contexts with awareness of quality considerations and trade-offs
• Availability to work at least four hours overlapping with U.S. business hours on weekdays

Nice-to-Have:


• Experience iterating systems across multiple cycles informed by performance metrics and retention outcomes
• Familiarity with low-code platforms, workflow automation tools, or agentic AI systems
• Experience designing dashboards or data visualizations for executive stakeholders
• Background in high-growth, high-accountability, or private-equity-backed organizations
