Description:
A leading interior fit-out and brand project execution group in Riyadh is looking for an experienced and strategic General Manager – Factory to oversee the complete operations of its manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence while ensuring high-quality production for premium joinery, retail fixtures, metalwork, and finishing solutions.
The successful candidate will manage the factory from planning through final production, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in line with the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional with extensive experience in factory management and manufacturing operations within the joinery or retail fit-out industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all factory operations, including production planning, joinery, metal fabrication, finishing, painting, and final assembly.
• Convert shop drawings and BOQs into high-quality finished products while meeting project deadlines and budget requirements.
• Develop and implement factory strategies with full responsibility for P&L, cost optimization, material utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee CNC machinery operations, preventive maintenance programs, quality assurance processes, and HSE compliance.
• Manage, coach, and develop production engineers, supervisors, and skilled craftsmen to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
• Minimum 15 years of manufacturing experience with at least 7 years in a senior factory or plant management position.
• Strong background in joinery, shop fitting, retail fit-out, or furniture and fixtures manufacturing within a make-to-order environment.
• Hands-on expertise in woodworking, metalworking, CNC machinery, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. MBA will be considered an advantage.
• Saudi Nationals or Arab Nationalities.
• Transferable Iqama (Inside Saudi Arabia) is required.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
• Production planning, quality control, and factory automation.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
