Description:
A leading organization in Sharjah is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with solid UAE experience who are looking to advance their careers in a dynamic and growth-focused business environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, and contributing to financial reporting activities. Candidates with experience in the trading or distribution sector will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation
• Prepare financial reports and support management reporting requirements
• Monitor daily accounting transactions and general ledger activities
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Assist with account reconciliations and financial audits
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial information and documentation
• Help improve accounting processes and maintain financial accuracy
Requirements:
• Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience within the UAE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience in Trading or Distribution industries is preferred
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE VAT regulations
• UAE Corporate Tax requirements
• Financial reporting standards
• General accounting procedures
• Account reconciliation processes
• Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
