Description:

LaFamiglia is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its growing hospitality finance team in Dubai Sports City. This position offers the opportunity to oversee the complete accounting function for both LaFamiglia restaurant and Caffelini café, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple business entities.

The successful candidate will manage full-cycle accounting, daily reconciliations, month-end closing activities, inventory reporting, and VAT preparation while working closely with the Senior Accountant. Candidates with hospitality accounting experience, strong QuickBooks expertise, and knowledge of UAE tax regulations are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities using QuickBooks.

• Perform daily POS-to-bank reconciliations for multiple outlets and payment methods.

• Reconcile delivery platform commissions, refunds, and payout transactions.

• Monitor petty cash, daily deposits, voids, discounts, and complimentary transactions.

• Complete month-end closing activities by the fifth working day.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages.

• Conduct monthly inventory counts and provide weekly COGS reports to the Cost Controller.

• Prepare UAE VAT returns for LaFamiglia and support audit requirements.

• Assist auditors by preparing schedules and responding to audit-related queries.

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of accounting experience.

• Minimum 2 years of full-cycle entity accounting experience in the UAE.

• Previous accounting experience within restaurants, cafés, or the hospitality industry.

• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

• Knowledge of Syrve POS is a strong advantage.

• Multi-outlet or multi-entity accounting experience is preferred.

• ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification (completed or in progress) is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of:

• Full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

• UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and regulatory compliance.

• QuickBooks, POS reconciliation, inventory accounting, and Excel reporting.
