Description:
Petrogulf Oil Manufacturing LLC is currently looking to hire a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join its finance team in the UAE. This role is suitable for a professional with solid accounting experience and practical knowledge of financial systems who can effectively manage daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling core accounting functions, maintaining financial records, and supporting the organization’s financial processes. The role requires someone with hands-on experience using ERP systems and Tally, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting operations and financial transactions in accordance with company policies
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation for internal review
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial procedures, and company policies
• Support the month-end and year-end closing activities in coordination with the finance team
• Assist with VAT return preparation and tax compliance requirements
• Maintain well-organized financial records and accounting documentation
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial data and support reporting needs
Requirements:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a General Accountant or in a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting practices
• Practical experience working with ERP systems and Tally accounting software
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in the manufacturing sector will be considered an advantage
• High attention to detail and accuracy when managing financial data
• Candidates should be currently based in the UAE and ready to join
• Immediate joiners will be given preference
