Job Title: General Accountant

SMG49 is seeking a diligent and detail-focused General Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end accounting duties, produce accurate financial reports, and ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards. This role requires hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) and the ability to join immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, and transaction posting.
- Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and regular management reports to support decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices and collections are processed timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Operate SAP B1 for recording transactions, generating reports, and supporting audits.
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and internal company policies.
- Provide analytical support and assist with ad-hoc financial queries and month-end close activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ UAE experience in a similar accounting role.
- Proven experience with SAP B1 is mandatory.
- Strong analyticalability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
