Description:
Shady Grove Fertility (SGF), part of the US Fertility network, is hiring a full-time Financial Educator to support patients remotely for the RMA NY office. This role is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping patients navigate benefits, insurance, and financial options related to fertility care. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

How You’ll Contribute:
• Consult one-on-one with patients to explain benefits, coverage limitations, and available financial options.
• Perform benefit verification and assist with prior authorization processes when required.
• Serve as a financial educator, advocate, and liaison — guiding patients through costs and payment pathways throughout their care.
• Maintain and update patient financial and insurance records accurately in the system.

Skills & Qualifications:
• 2–4 years of experience in a medical business office with hands-on knowledge of billing, collections, insurance/benefits, and patient-facing interactions.
• Ability to read and interpret payer remittance advice — distinguish allowed charges, contractual adjustments, denials, and patient responsibility (co-pay, co-insurance, deductibles).
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, detail orientation, and independent working ability.
• Comfortable with computers and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in OB/GYN or fertility practice is a plus.
• High level of customer service and empathy — aligned with SGF’s EPICC values (Empathy, Patient Focus, Integrity, Commitment, Compassion).
