Natera is Hiring: Financial Counseling Specialist

Natera, a global leader in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) testing focused on oncology, women’s health, and organ health, is seeking a dedicated Financial Counseling Specialist to join our team remotely in the U.S. This role is critical in ensuring patients receive a smooth and supportive financial experience while adhering to strict regulatory and privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with eligibility verification, claim submissions, and investigations
  • Manage reporting functions and analyze patient status for operational insights
  • Address inquiries from patients, clinics, sales teams, and executives promptly
  • Coordinate workflow between departments to optimize efficiency and resolve escalations
  • Monitor and close escalation cases using email, phone, and Salesforce.com
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and internal guidelines
  • Participate in operational programs, projects, and initiatives that improve patient resolution
  • Conduct outreach to resolve escalated issues using SMS, email, and phone
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and handle PHI in both electronic and paper formats
  • Complete required training in HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policy compliance, and security within 30 days of hire

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of call center experience handling inbound and outbound inquiries
  • 2+ years of Salesforce.com experience
  • Experience with medical billing and coding, preferably in skilled nursing
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid practices
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional phone manner
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
