Description:
A leading multinational logistics and warehousing group with operations in more than 25 countries is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its regional finance and accounting functions based in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader with multinational experience and a strong background in financial governance, compliance, and strategic planning.
The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, budgeting, reporting, treasury, taxation, audits, and ERP systems while ensuring compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and Group reporting standards. The role also involves leading a finance team, supporting executive decision-making, and driving continuous process improvements across regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions across the group’s regional entities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in line with Group deadlines.
• Improve financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures while ensuring compliance with IFRS and international standards.
• Provide financial analysis, business insights, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage treasury operations, cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, statutory regulations, and oversee internal and external audits.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and strengthen internal control frameworks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while monitoring performance through KPIs.
• Collaborate with Group Finance and executive leadership on regional financial initiatives.
• Promote efficient use of ERP systems and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Requirements:
• CA, ICWA, ACCA, CMA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of overall finance experience, including 3–5 years in a Financial Controller or managerial position.
• Mandatory UAE experience with strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Multinational company experience is required.
• Experience within Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) or the logistics sector is preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong knowledge of:
• IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.
• UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, treasury management, and audit processes.
• ERP systems, financial analysis, and Microsoft Excel.
