About The Role

The Program Finance/Program Accounting Analyst role at Lockheed Martin offers an exciting opportunity for entry-level professionals interested in advancing their careers in finance within the defense sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support and analysis to ensure the successful management of multiple programs. This role involves establishing and monitoring program budgets, tracking costs, and preparing various financial reports to support decision-making processes. The analyst will work closely with program teams and functional management to analyze financial data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, the role requires coordination of monthly financial reviews, preparation of quarterly estimates, and support for billing, accounts payable, and cash tracking activities. The position demands a high level of accuracy, accountability, and professionalism, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Candidates must be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Ability to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, or financial reporting (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Demonstrated professionalism and accountability in work style
  • Ability to develop and present financial data to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor program budgets to ensure financial health and compliance
  • Track and reconcile costs, highlighting issues, concerns, and trends to project teams
  • Track program funding requirements and prepare monthly Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSRs) for each Task Order
  • Conduct detailed cost analyses and develop variance explanations with actionable recommendations
  • Prepare quarterly Estimates to Complete (EACs) and Contract Status Reports (CSRs)
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly financial reviews with functional area management
  • Support billing processes, accounts payable, and cash tracking activities as needed
  • Maintain and update financial documentation and reports to support program management
  • Ensure compliance with security and confidentiality requirements, maintaining TS/SCI clearance
