Description:
Blake Willson Group (BWG), a rapidly growing professional services and technology solutions firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join its team. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, BWG provides services to Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community clients, and is recognized both nationally and internationally for quality management practices and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) training.
The Financial Analyst will support audit readiness initiatives, analyze financial processes, and collaborate with internal teams and federal clients to address audit findings. This role is fully remote, but candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with audit and finance teams to evaluate and improve audit procedures.
- Analyze audit findings to identify trends, root causes, and necessary corrective actions.
- Support modernization of financial management through process improvement and technology adoption.
- Conduct audit support activities including data reconciliation, internal control evaluations, and creation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
- Ensure compliance with DoD financial policies, GAAP, SFFAS, FFMIA, FMFIA, and other relevant regulations.
- Assist in documenting and implementing corrective actions to resolve audit issues and enhance internal controls.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in auditing and financial compliance.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of financial management experience.
Desired Skills:
- Professional certifications such as CGFM, CDFM, CIA, CISA, ITIL, SAFe, or similar are preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit-related tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team.
