Description:

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to support its Finance & Accounting team. This remote position offers an opportunity to contribute to financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making for a leading nonprofit organization focused on mental health and community care.

The successful candidate will analyze financial data, prepare reports, support budgeting activities, and provide insights that help strengthen organizational planning and financial performance. Candidates with strong analytical abilities and experience in financial reporting are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the preparation of agency budgets and financial planning activities.

• Support contract renewal packages, including amendments and budget modifications.

• Prepare and analyze operating plans, strategic plans, and monthly and quarterly forecasts.

• Create complex worksheets and databases for financial tracking and reporting.

• Provide financial analysis and technical support for projects requiring detailed financial evaluation.

• Prepare monthly budget monitoring reports and explain budget-to-actual variances.

• Produce monthly operating management reports and participate in financial review meetings.

• Assist with financial statements, contract-based cost reports, supporting schedules, and data analysis.

• Monitor and analyze monthly expenses and financial performance.

• Perform additional finance-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.

• Experience creating insights from reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI is highly desirable.

• Intermediate knowledge of budget development, cost projections, and financial reporting requirements.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets and financial analysis.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to clearly present financial information and analysis both verbally and in writing.

• Strong analytical skills, judgment, and attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and learn new skills.

Strong knowledge of:

   • Financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
